Sensitivity and Performance Analyses of the Distributed Hydrology–Soil–Vegetation Model Using Geomorphons for Landform Mapping

Landform classification is important for representing soil physical properties varying continuously across the landscape and understanding many hydrological processes in watersheds. Considering it, this study aims to use a geomorphology map (Geomorphons) as an input physically based model (Distributed Hydrology Soil Vegetation Model (DHSVM)) mountainous headwater watershed. A sensitivity analysis of five parameters was evaluated streamflow simulation each Geomorphons feature. As infiltration saturation excess overland flow are mechanisms generation complex terrain watersheds, model’s were most sensitive “slope”, “hollow”, “valley” features. Thus, simulated compared with observed data calibration validation. The performance satisfactory equivalent previous simulations same watershed using pedological survey moisture zone maps. Therefore, results from indicate that geomorphologically applicable representative spatially distributing DHSVM.
